black butler book of circus is missing. its either not there or i cant find it. if it isnt there, i would hope you fix that.

I thought this app had a bunch of anime that Crunchyroll did not have, so I decided to go onto the Funimation app. Plus I havent gone onto the app in a while. I saw the clip in the beginning, which I always thought was nice, and then it says that there is a new app. I thought to myself, "Okay, no problem. Ill just download the app and Ill watch some anime." I waited until the app finished downloading and I wad met with a play button with a slash through it. Where was the mini clip in the beginning? Then it disappeared and I was met with the "Start your free trial" button. I tried exploring that page to see if there were other options than paying and having a monthly subscription. But you had to pay. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE APP BEING FREE?! WAS FUNIMATION THAT DESPERATE THAT ANYONE WHO HAD THE APP HAD TO HAVE A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION?! IF YOURE THAT DESPERATE, MIGHT AS WELL DELETE FUNIMATION!! Why cant Funimation be free anymore? Low budget? If its low budget then its u derstandable, BUT IF ITS BECAUSE OF A DIFFERENT REASON, I WILL MAKE SURE FUNIMATION WILL BE FREE FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT WANT TO PAY!!! Look at Crunchyroll for example. Sure it doesnt have every single anime, but it works smoother. Sure it might glitch out sometimes, but not as much! New anime is uploaded onto Crunchyroll, and theres much more interesting anime (my opinion. you dont have to agree to this)! The Funimation layout is much more confusing while the Crunchyroll layout seems much less cramped. To be honest, and I cant lie, Crunchyroll is better than Funimation (my opinion).

Havent been able to get on it at all it stays on a loading screen so much that nothing happens. Just get annoying considering that I was planning on getting the membership for it too

This app is awesome! Theres a lot of shows that I can watch on here that I dont get on crunchyroll, and now I get to enjoy them. Sadly with this app there is quite a few, "its cool but" that I dont enjoy. There will be days where the app in general doesnt want to load with or without wifi. I get tired of that opening animation that play every time. The "recently watched" only get the anime I started in English, and plays it in English, even though I set my preference to Japanese. The menu that pops up when playing the video takes for to go away when you accidentally tapped the screen. You cant just tap out like in most video streaming apps. I dont really like how the recently added episodes is set up, but thats not too big of a deal. This app has so much potential since the anime on here is great, but how it stands right now, I might just stick to crunchyroll, even though they dont have some the anime that came out this and last season that I wanted to watch.

I like this app a lot but now recently Im trying to get on this app and its always loading and it wont show me my recent shows I watched. Is there anyway to fix this? I even tried to resend my password and its not sending it to my email?

I really like this app it has my favorite types of and me and their are all seasons unlike Netflix but 2 problems the loading and its called funimation (I think) NOW/wherever why do you hafta pay if its not wifi free because it does say whenever but hey it cant be perfect but I just want you to know I really really like this app so kep up the hard work.

I like the app, because it features some of my favorite shows as well as the new ones. The problem I have is the fact that it takes a long for the app to load. I have to close and open the app many times, until it finally shows the main menu. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Initially the app worked good. A few bugs like not starting from where you left off but thats an easy fix. Until I couldnt even log in anymore because the loading screen is eternal. Even when it does load and I log in, it takes me to the Log in/Sign up screen again. Is this only for free trial users? Because I would be alot more frustrated if I were paying.

Stopped working I cant log in anymore I want refund and I want to finish that show NOW!!!

Funimation, you have introduced month subscription feature, so tell me why cant you at least test your application properly? Even startup video doesnt work properly! 0/5

I cant open the app it stays on the start up screen and I deleted and reinstalled it again doing the same thing and I turn off my iPhone still doing the same thing so if its not fix soon Im not paying this month

I was going to give it 1 more star as mentioned below but then I noticed that the app actually doesnt even work.. The old funimation apps were terrible for many reasons. After all these years with no improvement, I was excited to see a new app. But its very obvious that the coders and designers are the same as before. The same issues with bad navigation, viewing history not being saved or synced between devices, laggy/buggy player etc.. are still here. Im sorry but this app did not improve the experience. The only + is that it looks a little better and you added a +-10sec control in the videoplayer. Enough to add one star but it still doesnt compete with other similar services apps.

To be honest, the only reason why I got the app was because I found out that I could pay for the subscription via Apple account. I signed up for the highest tier pass, and it was worth it. The reason why Im giving this app three stars is because the video player needs some improvements, due to some various bugs, and the app tends to get laggy. Video Player: It works fine but sometimes when coming back to an episode or just starting one, the video will not play. Even when leaving the episode and coming back to it, it will still do this. This mostly happens if subtitles settings are changed within the video. The video player needs improvement on its overlay. Its annoying to have to wait for it to disappear, especially when it activates unintentionally. Launching: When launching the app, it sometimes would get stuck on the initial splash screen, and not log on in subsequent attempts. This was fixed by reinstalling the app, however it would be nice to not have to experience this problem again. Overall this app is good, however it needs some patches. Good for anime on the go, but more useful as a medium for managing your subscription.

Go to crunchy roll its free its dub and sub and the only cost is some adds magical isnt it?

The streaming to Chomecast constantly freezes.

I normally dont write reviews, but this app is horrible! It doesnt properly keep track of what you recently watched in the allotted section, the load time is slow, and every other show I try to watch comes up with a message saying "bad response 500"...terrible for a subscribed app!

I really love how the app works. Its really well organized and easy to use, but when I tried to watch black butler I got some error code 500. And it seems like black butler doesnt exist on the app. I havent run into the problem with any other shows yet.

Has all the awesome shows but lacks a menu for rewinding and fast forwarding when broadcast on chrome cast. Also when watching on the app itself, it continues to stop streaming in the middle of episodes. I really hope you guys can fix that bug.

On the phone it works perfectly fine

The layout is decent. But there are many problems and glitches. When casting from iPhone to androidTV via wifi the audio is delayed and sluggish. Many episodes will cause an unknown error and some will not play at all. Hopefully Funimation will read these reviews and fix these bugs ASAP.(
