Funimation App Reviews

Every time I try to switch languages or add subtitles I either cant find it, or the app crashes. Not sure why I put up with all the crashes.

...doesnt have a default video quality option in the settings menu. I tried changing my default quality directly on the website but it NEVER EVER REMEMBERS IT. So please let me set that here. Ill give a 5 star rating if you do.

Personally I preferred the old apps more straight forward set up and for whatever reason my recently watched hasnt updated since first switching over but I suppose thats probably just growing pains. I never did receive any promotion either after entering my email during the switch which seems to be a common theme but thats no deal breaker

Just downloaded it to try out funimation in comparison to crunchyroll. Spent 20 minutes trying to setup an account from within the app, finally was unable and need to launch the site in a browser to accomplish the setup. After that, I was unable to watch anything with the app because I was not in a payed subscription (trial version). Horrible experience.

I downloaded the original app, and when they transferred onto this app, my subscription code never came! Wont be using funimation any more, as streaming online is free and less of a hassle.

No sound on any videos despite having a paid subscription... Simply terrible

Every time I try to login it says out of territory which is stupid as I live in Canada and have no problems watching it on my computer please fix

Made an account on their website, cant log in with with it due to being "out of territory"? Why put the app on Canadian Apple Store if Canadians arent eligible to use it?

I had paid for the old app though I dont have a subscription so I was okay with what I got. Now I cant even watch, let alone get past the login menu unless I have a subscription. I liked the old app better because at least I could still watch anime

The app usually runs great,but at the time of this review alot of Canadians are getting out of territory error since last week,making it impossible to log in.Still waiting for that to be fixed

What a bunch of failed promises from Funimation. We have been waiting for months for a decent app that could cast on either a chromecast or on an Apple TV. And what do we get? An app that only mirrors the screen to the Apple TV! Yes, because you cant leave the app on your iOS device once you have streamed on the Apple TV ! You have to leave your iOS device alone with the app playing your video. And, of course, half of the videos are working... Of course, dont ask too much to a Texan based company when the Japanese and Californian ones are already in 2016 compared to Funimation...

Even though the apps allows you to pay for a subscription both the app and the site do not register that you payed but it still comes out of the money on your iTunes account

Cant use it on my phone I get bad response 500 at any thing I select... And really disappointed I thought there would be more anime available.

The app was lots of what Im looking for, but I sometimes cant watch certain episodes on certain shows. It freezes or something. This app also eats your internet gigabytes for breakfast, dinner, and supper when you use it. Like. Seriously. Not good. But yea. I was pleased with the number of English dubbed episodes.

When will this feature be available?

As of mid July, 2016 this app doesnt work. While first time users ~may~ be exempt from this if theres a free trial, the subscription system is broken. After being prompted to "Resubscribe", given a choice of subscription tiers, and selecting one, it just loops back to the prior page and asks if you would like to "Resubscribe". This is also the case for Funimations actual website, the subscription system is broken there too, so you cant just subscribe on the website and login on the app. Oh, and then site 502d. When the app works, its great. While the selection in the earlier years is understandably sparse, Funimation has a library spanning back to 1986, and you cant get a lot of those series on Crunchyroll, Netflix, or whatever. Im trying to give you my money, Funumation, but youre making it pretty difficult.

Its the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. Logged out once and tried to log back in but not happening. Get the app fixed or dont bother. Totally up to you but I hope everyone can see what a total waste of money this.

You need wifi or data to use this which is really disappointing seeing as it said Anime, Anytime, Anywhere! Very Misleading but good to watch anime on!

This a great app but Im having troubles watching anime when I try to log in it brings me to this screen when I press the button it brings back to the resubscribe page need help

App constantly drops AirPlay connection with Apple TV 4. Other apps I have dont have this issue. If it werent for this my rating would be 4 stars.
